I am a believer in the idea of being grateful for the positive things that happen in life. It is a great tool for shifting a “bad day” into a good one. It can be humbling to think about all the things that truly are blessings that I sometimes take for granted.
I am comfortable with gratitude for the positive things in my life – I am contemplating gratitude for the negative things in my life. This is more of an abstraction but almost certainly one that can help me on my path to personal growth.
What am I grateful for in this (fill in the blank with a negative word) situation?
Dig deep. Find Something. Anything. What did I learn? How can I grow from this? Instead of a scar this can be a reminder – a reminder that things get better; a reminder to trust my instincts.
