Today is wednesday- Odin’s day. I have been listening to the most amazing full cast production of American Gods by Neil Gaiman. I have been a fan for years of Gaiman in general and this book gives me a combined nostalgia for my time living in Wisconsin and my love of Norse mythology.
I was reminded of places I have been like the House on the Rock in Spring Green Wisconsin USA. There were cool statues of dragons hatching as we drove up. It was a strange place. A cool house and a bizarre collection of thousands of curiosities. Listening to Anasi and Czernobog talking and the narration of the carosel -top notch.

The story from my perspective is about gods who are no longer worshipped. They are quite literally living and working among us. Odin is a grifter and he is determined to start a battle with the gods getting worshipped now – media and technology.
I find myself so curious about some of the characters and what they are based on the Zorya and Easter. I wish I had the nerve to try the fiddle game or the opportunity to hear one of Hinzelmann’s tall tales.
good night and thanks for stopping
